James from UK Same Day Couriers approached WebsitUK.net through finding our website on a Google search for website design. He was looking for a simple but professional looking website to simply generate more enquiries from outside his base in Manchester.

Adopting our new approach of bespoke but simple design where we try to keep the navigation options to an absolute minimum we presented James with an initial screen shot of our ideas. Once we’d ironed out a few rough spots we then scripted the site properly. We then spent time researching other courier companies on Google listings. By the use of the generic domain name expressdeliverycompany.co.uk and some skilful page balancing along with correct usage of page titles we have now achieved a fantastic one search one click solution for Jame’s business.

They are a small courier firm in Manchester and are now competing for business with multi-million pound companies such as DHL, AMTRACK, PONEX, TNT to name a few.

We made contact with Order of Service to offer our web design and hosting services. Although Order of Service had a ‘pleasing on the eye’ website as they are very successful graphic design company, their site lacked the correct scripting and layout to get the most out of the internet.

Wanting to concentrate their business on funeral stationery design and print we looked at the options and came up with the generic domain name funeralstationery.co.uk and the offer to script their new funeral stationery site correctly. Order of Service provided the graphics for each page and then we scripted into html for them. With a few tweaks of our own it wasn’t too long before the site was ready to go live. We then added our own metatags (key phrases) and correct balancing of titles and descriptions and now submit the site monthly on their behalf.

This site to date achieves around 100 000 hits a month and roughly 1500 unique visitors a month.

Samson Rumbelow from Method Acting already had a fully designed website which we would have been hard pressed to better in quality and layout. However that was all Samson had and he approached us for the web hosting and search engine optimisation of the site.

Liaising with the original web design company we received the page files and uploaded the site on to our own hosting platform, whilst changing the hosted domain from methodacting.co.uk to actingclasseslondon.co.uk for search purposes.

methodacting.co.uk was then transferred to us so that Samson could still use that domain name on his business stationery and we also helped set up his emails on his business web address (info@methodacting for example), so that nothing was lost on the business name web address. We simply use actingclasseslondon.co.uk to help with Google rankings.

In Jan 2008 Method Acting received around 35000 hits and almost a thousand unique visitors. The visitors are all relevant to the business model, (as in people searching for method acting classes in London) and this is how a site should be set up to be successful online.
